No. That's getting too close to superhero powers. While we are what could be considered a 'supernatural' game, we're trying to keep it as close to the realm of possible as we can. If you can't decide, we have a list of suggested abilities available HERE. Please understand that to preserve the unique feel of our game we will have to carefully consider any requests for abilities outside the scope of those outlined on the abilities page, and such requests may not be granted.

That answer varies from person to person. Some probably are, while others most definitely are not. There are no rules about whether or not your character has to be public with their abilities. That is your decision to make!

It's a story that's been going around for a long time. The 'witches' who have 'magical powers' that live in the gated community by that convenience store with the pink stucco walls. Whether or not people choose to believe the (slightly exaggerated) tales varies from person to person. New Orleans is a big city, rich with magical and supernatural history. There are definitely some believers out there.

So long as the two are closely related, yes. For instance; telepathy with a touch of empathy would be alright. Telepathy and energy healing would not. If you have any doubts, feel free to ask the mods, and we'll clear anything up.

Nobody knows how the community of psychics was formed. Perhaps they saw someone post on a message board about psychic abilities, talking about The Ridge. Maybe they've been featured in the local news as the clairvoyant who helped solve a cold case, and another resident reached out to them. Maybe they underwent psychic training at a top secret institute, and were pointing in the direction of The Ridge by the founder. The sky is the limit! Note; There is an NPC at The Ridge who works as a realtor, and also happens to be an aura reader who can recognize other psychics. If you're struggling for a connection between your character and The Ridge, we think this is an easy way to get around the 'how did they find this place' problem. Feel free to use him in excess!

As stated in the rules, we require at least one journal entry a month, and participation in at least one thread visible to the mods. For an entry to count toward activity, it must be accessible to the community at large, and comments must be enabled. Entries should be at least two paragraphs long, and at this point we will not be accepting instagram posts, music playlists, or one-liners toward monthly activity requirements. These posts are, of course, encouraged anyway.

Well, it's a good thing we have a dropbox, to aid in your quest for further knowledge!
